Talking Matters
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Michele a certified grief and bereavement counsellor and an intuitive healer. I help people by gently guiding them on their path to reveal a purposeful life after loss, helping them to move forward. We look at understanding emotions, validating feelings and behaviours, and how going within can help heal on a much deeper level.
My life has been complex and challenging, living in different countries worldwide. Helping people within my many roles has been my one constant sole purpose. Over the years, whilst working within the NHS and the British Armed Forces I’ve come to realise helping people is a passion rather than a job. After the loss of my own family in quick succession, (3 brothers and my mother), I dived deeper into my spiritual side, awakening the spirit within and started a journey of self-discovery and deep healing to understand the why’s and how’s of life. I’ve always followed my intuition, and listened to the whispers of my inner soul, following my natural abilities; to listen to people and help with an open heart.
I yearned to help people in ways being ‘employed’ did not allow and took a leap of faith; I set up a space of my own which allows people to come and be heard, a safe space to express and nurture your feelings without judgement.

What I Do
We all experience times in our lives where we just need to sit and chat or offload over a coffee without feeling shame or guilt. ‘Talking Matters' provides a safe space for you to share without judgement and offers insite that may help you see more positively.
A warm smile and a big hug is standard here, offering counselling and practical help, as well as add on holistic treatments to support your well-being, mental health and spiritual growth. We can cover various aspects of day to day life, specializing in but not limited to grief and bereavement counselling or engage in physical healing session.
'‘Grief is a feeling, an emotional response to loss. Bereavement is the period of sadness after the loss. Mourning is the way grief is outwardly expressed. They all occur during the bereavement period’'
How It Works
Grief counselling is a type of therapy that helps you cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cognitive responses to your loss. I provide a safe space for you to process your grief and work through complex emotions, helping you overcome obstacles during your grieving process. Allowing you to mourn your loss and express your grief.
Whether your loss is a sudden bereavement or an expected bereavement I offer a safe space for you to share your feelings and explore how they can be expressed and validated. We will look in depth at the how and the why of the symptoms and behaviours you may be experiencing.
We will look at creating your own care plan and look at alternative holistic treatments that may be beneficial to help you navigate your feelings and emotions.
No one ‘gets over’ or ‘moves on from’ loss, we learn to accept and create a new way of living.
